Elderly Instruments: My favorite music store. I live about an hour from Elderly’s and visit there often. You can sometimes find my mandolins on their website.
First Quality Music: A great music store in the Louisville Ky. Area. Ask for Jeff Sullivan. They carry my mandolins when I have one to send them.
Gryphon Stringed Instruments: One of the best acoustic music shops on the west coast. They sometimes have a Grady mandolin in stock.
Stewart McDonald, Luthier’s Merchantile International Inc.: I buy a lot of supplies, tools, blueprints and books at these two places. Also most of my lacquer and finishing supplies.
Orcas Island Tonewoods: This is where I get most of my tonewoods. Owner Bruce Harvey is a great guy and an excellent mandolin player. Ask for his latest CD.
Northwest Timber. Sara Judy the Lumber Lady: I get a lot of quilted and curly maple here.
Colonial Tonewoods: I got some 100 year old red spruce from here. Still have two tops left. Order one of these with red maple back and sides and get that great “Loar” sound.
David Nichols: cuts all my headstock inlays. David is probably the best inlay artist around, and not a bad mandolin player either. He has a great new how to play the mandolin DVD.
